Hola back! After some time of hiatus, here I am with some fresh news!
It is with great joy that I announce to the world that on the end of August, I joined the development team of Spotify in Stockholm, Sweden!
Spotify is one of the hottest startups at the moment, if you haven’t been hiding under some rock for the past year, chances are you already know it and have either used or seen someone using it. Being a user myself of the service for some time now, I was already very impressed by the great user experience and low latency, unique in the industry. For all this and additionally being a lover of music, Spotify was probably my favorite place to work in Europe right now. It’s a great pleasure to join a team that strives to excel in every level as much as they do!
Of course this also meant that I permanently left Barcelona, a city I loved. I exchanged it for a equally beautiful (but way colder I’ll admit) Venice of the north. An unexpected good side of it is that regardless of being 3 times farther from my home town of Faro, Portugal than I was in Barcelona, from Stockholm there are very regular non-stop flight connections. Both me and my family will appreciate the regular visits I will surely pay, something that was impossible while in Barcelona. Now let’s see how I cope with the harsh northern winter!
